Our evolving story

Movement came first. Then the story widened.

The Suti Story is the next chapter of a journey that began with YellowCrop: clothing designed around movement, confidence and the reality of women’s days.

From YellowCrop to The Suti Story

YellowCrop began from a performance-led point of view. It asked a direct question: can clothing support the body, the schedule and the confidence of the woman wearing it? Working from that idea taught us to begin with movement rather than decoration.

As the work grew, so did the wardrobe we wanted to explore. There was room for cotton beyond activewear, for Indian colour and craft references, and for silhouettes that could move between work, travel, family time, celebrations and the unplanned hours between them. The Suti Story grew from that wider need.

The name holds the idea of cloth as a continuing story. One piece can be practical, personal, regional and contemporary at once. This account is our working origin story and will be refined as the founder’s dates, places and sourcing history are formally documented.

Clothes for the life around the occasion

A strong outfit should not erase the woman wearing it. We look for easy movement, a clear silhouette and one memorable detail: perhaps a neckline, a print, a jacket, a drape or a piece of jewellery.
